Data Platform Engineer

What you design today will be used tomorrow by teams in operations, marketing, finance, and beyond.  This Is What Your Role Looks Like You’ll join the central Data Platform Team, working on the foundation of Basic-Fit’s data landscape.  In a typical week, you might:  build batch and streaming pipelines in Databricks  continuously improving Databricks, keeping up with the latest technologies  collaborate with analysts to improve self-service reporting  automate day-to-day work by leveraging the power of AI migrate legacy pipelines to a modern Databricks platform  optimize performance, cost, governance, and reliability  support designing data models that are directly consumed in Power BI  Where you can make an impact  This is not a “keep-the-lights-on” role. You’ll actively shape:  scalable data architecture (Lakeflow Connect, Databricks Apps etc.)  AI and automation to improve data quality and usability  self-service analytics across the business  the future direction of our data platform  Good ideas don’t stay in slide decks here - they get built.  The team you’ll work with  You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary Data Platform Team with:  Data Platform Engineers  Analysts  BI Developers  Data Scientists  Together, you support almost every department at Basic-Fit, enabling teams to act on reliable, well-governed data.  Who Are You? You don’t need to tick every box. You will thrive here if most of this sounds familiar:  Hands-on experience with Databricks (around 1+ year)  Curiosity about newest Databricks features (dashboards, apps etc.) Understanding of batch vs. streaming data processing  Strong skills in SQL, PySpark, and Python  Experience building data pipelines (e.g. with Azure Data Factory)  Awareness of data quality, governance, and scalability  Experience and curiosity towards AI and building agents Comfortable communicating in English  Experience with PowerBI or any other reporting tool is a plus What We Offer You At Basic-Fit, it’s not just about work, it’s about your growth.
