Development Technologist

Are you a creative NPD professional who loves turning a customer brief into a working recipe? Do you thrive on hands-on concept and recipe development, from bench through to customer sample? Are you ready to own product concepts from initial brief through to launch within a leading food manufacturer? MacGregor Black are partnering with a Leading FMCG Business on the search for a Development Technologist. This is a permanent role based in Somerset. Key Responsibilities: Leading the NPD concept and recipe development stage, working closely with customers to fully understand the brief.Managing kitchen equipment, ingredients and stock to enable sample preparation for customer submission.Building and maintaining new product files, including initial project and EPD information.Ensuring recipes meet customer codes of practice and nutritional targets.Supporting complaint investigations where formulation may be a contributing factor. What We're Looking For: A food-related qualification or degree, plus at least 3 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment.Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle priorities and meet tight deadlines.HACCP L2/3 qualified or working towards it.A confident communicator with solid Excel and IT skills, and a genuine interest in food.
