Your job As a Software Engineer, you will be part of an agile DevOps team responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining secure, resilient, and high-performing solutions. You will contribute throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design to implementation and operational support. You take ownership of your work, actively contribute ideas, share knowledge with your teammates, and continuously improve both the software and the way of working. Together with your colleagues, you will build high-quality, maintainable, and future-proof solutions using modern technologies and platforms, including Microsoft Azure. You will primarily develop secure backend services and APIs supporting key management, certificate lifecycle management, and Hardware Security Module (HSM) integrations. Working closely with security specialists, platform engineers, and product owners, you will help deliver critical security services that are used throughout the bank. This includes our cloud platforms, network infrastructure, data centers, developer platforms, and the tools that support the entire software development lifecycle. About Service Integration & Orchestration. The Service Integration & Orchestration (SI&O) department plays a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and continuous availability of the bank's IT landscape. Alongside governance and operational responsibilities, SI&O is home to several DevOps teams that build and operate critical services used across the organization. About Crypto Services. The Crypto Services team develops and operates the platforms that enable secure banking across ABN AMRO. Our services include key management, certificate lifecycle management, and Hardware Security Module (HSM) solutions that support critical applications and infrastructure throughout the bank. As part of the Crypto Services team, you will contribute to the platforms that form the foundation of secure banking. From key management and certificate lifecycle management to Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), the services you build and maintain are essential for protecting customers, securing critical business processes, and enabling the bank to operate safely and reliably every day. Your profile We're looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys building secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions and is eager to grow within the cryptographic domain. What You'll Bring Hands-on experience writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java, C#, or comparable programming languages, with a strong focus on engineering best practices and code quality.Hands-on experience with Python, particularly in developing, securing, and optimizing APIs.Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, with a focus on clean architecture and maintainable codebases.Ability to analyze, optimize, and improve API performance in distributed systems.Curiosity and willingness to learn and grow within the cryptographic domain.
