Intermediate Software Engineer

Position Description: We're seeking a motivated Software Developer to help design, develop, and implement modern web applications. In this role, you will perform systems analysis, design, integration, and documentation for complex applications. You will be a core member of an Agile team, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle with a focus on building high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions. This role is fully remote. Additional Roles / Responsibilities: Full-Stack Development: Develop and maintain robust applications using Java/Spring Boot for backend services and Angular for the frontendUI/UX Implementation: Build responsive and appealing front-end interfaces using UI templates, HTML5, CSS, and AngularCloud Integration: Develop and deploy applications in a cloud environment, utilizing AWS servicesAPI Development: Write and consume effective RESTful APIs to ensure seamless communication between system componentsSystem Modernization: Contribute to efforts to translate legacy applications into modern, cloud-native architecturesQuality Assurance: Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency, and collaborate on troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading applicationsAgile Collaboration: Be an active participant in the Agile development process (SAFe, Scrum, etc.), working with team members to enhance existing software and deliver new features Minimum Qualifications, Certifications and Education Requirements: BA/BS in a related field with 5-8 years of experience as a Software EngineerStrong experience with Java and the Spring Boot frameworkProficiency in front-end development with Angular, HTML5, and CSSExperience with Node.js for backend services or build toolingHands-on experience with cloud services, preferably in an AWS environmentExperience with Agile development processes (e.g., SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)Experienced with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principlesMust be a US CitizenPossess an active CompTIA Security+ / IAT level II certificationPossess a SECRET security clearance or have the ability to obtain one Preferred Skills: Experience writing SQL for a major database (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL)Experience with API design and documentation (e.g., JSON, OpenAPI)Familiarity with source control tools like GitExperience with vulnerability analysis and remediation
