Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detailed oriented Global Payroll Accountant to support payroll accounting activities across the US and Rest of World (ROW) countries.
This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, reports, and timely month-end close activities.
THE CHALLENGE:
Control workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timelyPrepare internal payroll reports and develop ad hoc financial reporting as neededAssure confidentiality and security of records and informationResponsible for month-end tasks including payroll-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and tax compliance for US and ROW countriesEnsure compliance with SOX requirementsSupport internal and external auditsSupport payroll tax, statutory, and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictionsEnsure payroll processes and accounting practices are consistent with company policies and applicable local regulationsPartner with Payroll, HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to resolve discrepanciesIdentify opportunities to improve payroll accounting processes and reporting
ABOUT YOU:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field3+ years of payroll accounting or accounting experience, preferably with global payroll exposure (US and ROW)Strong understanding of U.S.
payroll and familiarity with international payroll practicesExperience with payroll reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, month-end close and auditsStrong Excel and analytical skills, experience with payroll systems preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsDetail oriented, highly organized and analytical skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlinesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to work effectively with teams across multiple countries and time zonesDiscreet and trustworthy with confidential materials and conversationsPositive, can-do attitude, diplomacy and approachability
