About the job As IT WMS Solutions Engineer, you are Bleckmann’s subject matter expert for the Manhattan Associates WMi platform, responsible for its configuration, optimization, functional design, and operational support across our warehouse network. You act as the bridge between business operations and IT: translating warehouse process requirements into WMi configurations and solutions that drive operational efficiency and reliability. Reporting to the IT WMS Solutions Delivery Manager, you play a central role in WMi implementations, change delivery, incident escalation support, and continuous improvement initiatives — collaborating closely with the IT WMS Project Delivery, Change Delivery, and Support teams, Operations, and Manhattan Associates to ensure the platform performs at its best across all Bleckmann sites. What you'll do WMi configuration & solution design: Design, configure, and maintain WMi solutions supporting inbound, outbound, inventory management. Translate business requirements into functional configuration specifications aligned with WMi best practices, and own the functional design documentation for all WMi changes and implementations, including configuration build, unit testing, and functional validation prior to UAT.Implementation & project delivery: Act as the WMi functional lead on implementation projects, new site go-lives, and upgrade programs: leading requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, configuration build, testing coordination, and go-live support, and supporting data migration activities such as master data validation.Change management & release delivery: Assess, specify, and deliver WMi configuration changes in accordance with Bleckmann’s change management process, from intake and functional specification through testing, approval, and controlled deployment, working closely with the IT WMS Change Delivery team and ensuring every change is backed by approved specifications, test records, and business approval. Ensure all WMi changes are supported by complete and auditable documentation”Incident escalation & diagnostics: Act as the functional escalation point for complex WMi incidents raised by the IT WMS Support team: analyzing system behavior, configuration settings, transaction logs, and database records to identify root causes, and contributing to root cause analysis that eliminates recurring issues.Stakeholder & business engagement: Engage directly with Operations, Warehouse Managers, and client teams to understand current and future WMi process requirements; facilitate requirements workshops, process walkthroughs, and UAT sessions, and act as a trusted WMi advisor across Bleckmann’s warehouse network.Knowledge management & documentation: Maintain comprehensive WMi configuration documentation, functional design records, and solution guides; contribute WMi resolution guides and known error records to the TopDesk knowledge base, and deliver knowledge transfer and functional training to IT colleagues, super users, and operational staff.Vendor & partner coordination: Maintain the working relationship with Manhattan Associates: coordinating functional queries, defect management, patch releases, and product roadmap developments, and managing vendor support cases through to timely resolution.Continuous improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to optimize WMi configurations, processes, and integrations; contribute to the WMi roadmap, and embed lessons learned from post-implementation and post-incident reviews into Bleckmann’s ways of working. Who you are A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field or equivalent experience.A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Manhattan Associates WMi in a 3PL or supply chain environment, covering configuration, implementation, and operational support.A proven ability to translate complex warehouse operations requirements into WMi functional configurations and solution designs.A solid understanding of end-to-end warehouse management processes: inbound receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, outbound shipping, inventory management, and labour management.Experience delivering WMi configuration changes and participating in WMi implementation projects from requirements through to go-live.Working knowledge of SQL for data investigation, configuration validation, and diagnostic support.Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate requirements workshops and present solutions to operational and business audiences.An analytical and detail-oriented mindset, with a structured approach to problem-solving and solution documentation.Fluency in English, written and verbal; Dutch is a plus Nice to have Hands-on experience with the full Bleckmann technology stack: Manhattan Associates WMi, Blue Yonder, Boomi, TopDesk, and Tableau.Familiarity with WMi integration architecture and experience with Boomi middleware in a WMS integration context.Knowledge of adjacent supply chain systems such as TMS, DMS, customs platforms, and AutoStore or Kardex automation interfaces.Experience operating in an international, multi-site warehouse environment, with willingness and ability to travel internationally to support go-lives, site assessments, and stakeholder engagements.
