Your impact Sydney | Flexible / Hybrid Working Some of Australia's most complex infrastructure projects depend on reliable, resilient and well-designed power systems. Jacobs is looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Infrastructure Power team in Sydney, providing technical leadership across electrical infrastructure typically ranging from 415V through to 66kV. This is a broad power engineering role rather than a narrow discipline specialist position. You'll work across complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, solving electrical challenges spanning HV and MV distribution, substations, switchgear, protection, power systems and associated electrical infrastructure. You'll have the opportunity to remain technically engaged while taking a leading role with clients, projects and developing engineers. Most importantly, we're looking for someone with breadth across power engineering who enjoys solving complex infrastructure problems and working across traditional discipline boundaries. Why Jacobs? Here's what you'll do As a Principal Engineer, you'll help lead the development and delivery of electrical power solutions across major infrastructure projects. Your work may include Lead electrical engineering and design across LV, MV and HV infrastructure, typically from 415V to 66kVDevelop electrical distribution and power system solutions for complex infrastructure environmentsWork across equipment and systems including switchgear, transformers, substations, protection and associated electrical infrastructureLead design reviews, technical assurance and multidisciplinary engineering interfacesWork directly with clients to understand their challenges and develop practical engineering solutionsLead technical packages and coordinating engineering inputs across multidisciplinary projectsMentor and provide technical guidance to developing engineersSupporting proposals, project development and strategic client engagement Here's what you'll need We're interested in experienced electrical engineers who have built their careers around power and electrical infrastructure. You may have developed your experience through major infrastructure, transport, rail, water, utilities, industrial, resources, renewable energy or other complex power environments.
