The Role
Design, build, and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Improve platform reliability, performance, security, and operational efficiencyDevelop infrastructure as code solutions and automate operational processesMonitor production systems and proactively identify opportunities for improvementLead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviewsDefine and implement SRE best practices, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgetsPartner with software engineers to improve application reliability and deployment processesSupport CI/CD pipelines and drive automation across the software delivery lifecycleOptimise cloud environments to balance performance, resilience, and costContribute to the long-term cloud and platform engineering roadmap
Your Skills & Experience
Strong commercial experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or DevOps rolesHands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud-native architecturesStrong knowledge of Kubernetes, containerisation, and orchestration technologiesExperience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code toolsKnowledge of CI/CD tooling and deployment automationExperience monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similarStrong understanding of networking, security, and distributed systemsAbility to troubleshoot complex production issues and drive sustainable solutionsExperience working closely with software engineering teams in agile environmentsExcellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
