Senior Backend Engineer Core System

Location Tech Hubs: Oslo, Norway or Fuengirola, Malaga, Spain Reports: Engineering Manager Role Overview The new talent will play a critical role in designing and developing backend systems that support IoT devices, leveraging modern DevOps practices. Works with cutting-edge technologies in Azure cloud infrastructure and a microservices architecture, building solutions that protect the lives and homes of our customers. Team Overview The team is responsible for the end-to-end mobile experience that allows customers to configure, monitor, and control their alarm system. Their mission is to provide a seamless, secure, and intuitive experience for managing both security and smart home capabilities directly from the app. Key user journeys include: Arming and disarming the alarm system, including automation scenarios.Managing smart door locks, including locking, unlocking, pairing, and removing devices such as Yale Doorman and Danalock.Enabling and disabling smart plugs, as well as configuring related automation flows.Managing core system settings, including room names, areas, and overall system organization. The team owns the customer-facing experience across these journeys, ensuring reliability, ease of use, and a connected smart home ecosystem Main Responsibilities Strengthen and support the development team, building software that helps to protect the lives and homes of our customers. Write clean, scalable code using C# .NET Core. Write code and develop according to business and user needs. Evaluate new code for reliable architecture, stability, reusability, performance, automation, security and metrics. Remain up to date with the terminology, concepts, and best practices for coding. Write unit and integration tests to cover functionality and reduce regressions. Mentor junior developers and new team members Coordinate with product owners, developers and architects.Solve complex development problems and technical challenges through innovative approaches and problem solving. Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field (Computer Sciences, Information, Computer Engineering) Requirements 7+ yrs of experience as a hands on Backend Developer Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core knowledge5+ yrs of experience with microservices and APIs (REST and event-based architectures). Experience with Claude Code for AI Assisted development and code generation Experience writing backend services consumed by IOS and Android apps SQL and Azure Service Bus Knowledge Ability in automation and integration testing.Excellent verbal and written English skillsA valid work permit in the EU. Nice-to-have  Knowledge of Azure ecosystem DevOps and Terraform experienceExpertise with CI/CD and test automation About the recruitment process We will recruit on a rolling basis, so please do not hesitate to apply with a CV in English.
