SENIOR NODE.JS DEVELOPER LOCATION United Kingdom (fully remote) PAY £75,000 to £80,000 per annum (£38.46 to £41.03 per hour equivalent at 37.5 hours) CONTRACT Permanent, full-time REPORTING TO Engineering Manager (client side) ABOUT THE ROLE The Senior Node.js Developer designs and builds scalable backend services in Node.js and TypeScript within a microservices architecture, taking responsibility for delivery and quality as part of an Agile product engineering team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design and develop scalable server-side applications using Node.js and TypeScript.Take backend features from design through to production-ready delivery.Build and maintain microservices.Write unit and integration tests to maintain software quality and reliability.Work within established development, documentation and deployment processes.Contribute to improvements across coding standards and engineering practices.Work collaboratively as part of an Agile software development team. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Commercial server-side development experience.Strong Node.js and TypeScript experience.Experience working with microservices architectures.Unit and integration testing experience.SQL and/or NoSQL database experience.An understanding of CI/CD principles.Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fully remote environment.The right to work in the UK. DESIRABLE NestJS.AWS or another cloud platform.Message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ or NATS.gRPC.OAuth2 or AWS Cognito.
