Senior Billing Technology Developer

The Doctors Company Information Technology team has an opportunity for a Senior Billing Tech Developer. This is a hybrid opportunity based at our office in Mechanicsburg, PA or New York, NY. Position Summary Serve as a technical lead for one or more project teams, working collaboratively with the team to ensure code quality and technical solution integrity for the Duck Creek Billing implementation. This position requires strong leadership in design, development, and delivery of complex solutions across multiple domains and platforms. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.10-12 years of experience in software development with at least 5-7 years in the Duck Creek Billing application space.Proven track record of delivering consumer-grade applications at scale. Responsibilities Technical Skills & Experience Configuring and coding in the Duck Creek Billing application and ensuring data and transactional integrity between billing and policyDevelop good technical documentation for coding and design standards and how to code and design using Duck Creek for MPLObservability – error logging, monitoring, alerting, taking remedial actions Quality & Delivery Focus Software quality assurance – unit, integration, functional end-end testing, usage of test automation and improving test coverage and escape defect rates Performance Optimization and Security Best Practices Profiling baselines and identifying areas for optimization and diagnosing root cause and fixes System Architecture & Scalability System Architecture & Scalability – proven experience architecting scalable, modular architectures, cloud platform, performance tuning Leadership & Communication Team leadership and mentoring - code reviews, best practices for design and coding, debugging, documentation and ensuring the right work is sized properly and monitored Vision & Growth Mindset Awareness of the MPL space and emerging tech trends to ensure extensibility and future-proofing solutionsA/B testing, acting on user feedback for how features are delivered, analytics on usage and improvements needed Salary Range: $124,548 - 163,879 This position is eligible for participation in the Company's Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP), offering additional compensation driven by individual and company performance.Compensation is determined based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market considerations. We consider factors such as specialized skills, depth of knowledge in the field, and educational background to ensure fair and competitive pay. Salary may also include additional geographic differential for employees working in higher-cost labor markets, including states such as New York and California. While the posted range reflects our anticipated hiring range, we remain open to considering candidates with exceptional qualifications, specialized expertise, or directly relevant experience that may warrant compensation outside of that range.
