You will support network availability, scalability, and security through hands-on configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting across multiple vendor platforms. Your responsibilities will include network design, device administration, performance optimization, cabling coordination, and technical documentation. Working closely with on-site teams, vendors, and global colleagues, you will resolve technical issues and maintain dependable connectivity across the supported environment. This role requires strong technical judgment, ownership of day-to-day network operations, and clear communication. Korean language proficiency is preferred to support collaboration with our global teams. 🛠 Key Responsibilities 📌 Network Design & Implementation Design and deploy LAN/WAN solutions that meet business requirements for availability, performance, scalability, and security. Evaluate network requirements and recommend improvements to architecture, capacity, and connectivity. Plan network upgrades and validate configurations and connectivity before implementation. 📌 Network Infrastructure Management Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, L4/L7 load balancers, IP PBX systems, and related network equipment. Maintain device configurations, configuration backups, and network inventories. Coordinate equipment updates and configuration changes with stakeholders to minimize operational disruption. 📌 Monitoring & Automation Monitor network availability, utilization, and performance using appropriate monitoring tools. Investigate alerts and identify potential capacity, reliability, or security concerns. Implement automation to improve routine administration, configuration consistency, and operational efficiency. 📌 Cabling & Technical Documentation Coordinate UTP and fiber-optic cabling installations, testing, and troubleshooting with vendors and on-site teams. Maintain accurate network diagrams, IP address records, device inventories, and configuration documentation. Document operating procedures, technical changes, and troubleshooting guidance to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing. 📌 Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization Diagnose and resolve connectivity, routing, VPN, security, and network performance issues. Coordinate with internal teams, service providers, and equipment vendors to restore service. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce recurring incidents. Communicate issue status, operational impact, and resolution progress to relevant stakeholders. 📌 Security & Compliance Maintain secure network configurations, firewall rules, access controls, and VPN connectivity. Follow applicable security policies, technical standards, and change management procedures. Support network risk identification and remediation in coordination with security and infrastructure teams. 📚 Qualifications 🎓 Required Experience Five or more years of experience in network infrastructure design, deployment, administration, and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience supporting LAN/WAN environments and configuring network equipment across multiple vendor platforms. Experience using network monitoring tools to investigate incidents and improve performance. Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 💡 Technical & Language Skills Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configurations. Practical understanding of network security principles and secure device administration. Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V and network storage solutions. Ability to prepare clear technical documentation and communicate effectively in English. Korean language proficiency is preferred for collaboration with global teams and headquarters. 🧠 Communication & Coordination Skills Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to different audiences. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to coordinate with clients, vendors, and colleagues across locations. Ability to manage competing priorities, follow up consistently, and escalate issues appropriately. 📍 Work Location & Authorization Must be available to work on-site full-time in San Jose, California. Relocation assistance is available. Must be willing to travel locally within the San Jose / Bay Area as needed. Must have or obtain authorization to work in the United States. Knowledge of cloud networking in AWS or Microsoft Azure. Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial IT environments.
