Are you an experienced Civil Engineer who loves taking ownership of projects, leading technical delivery, and chatting directly with clients?
We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join a large established & still growing engineering team in the heart of Liverpool (just a short walk from Lime Street Station).
This is a hands-on senior role within a thriving civil engineering consultancy.
If your background is in broad site infrastructure, highways, or earthworks, but you have a solid handle on drainage design, this is the perfect spot for you.
You’ll get to work on a highly varied portfolio, stretching from major residential developments to massive industrial and commercial schemes.
The Role
Own Your Projects: Lead the infrastructure and drainage design delivery from early concept stages right through to detailed design.Be the Technical Expert: Produce and review designs, solve complex technical issues, and ensure everything meets project requirements.Client Facing: Act as a key point of contact, attend meetings, and confidently talk through design proposals.Collaborate & Mentor: Work closely with the wider civil team and help guide junior engineers coming through the ranks.
About You
The Background: You’re an experienced Civil, Infrastructure, or Drainage Engineer with a strong track record in UK civil engineering consultancies.The Toolkit: You have solid experience with design software; ideally Civil 3D, Flow, Site3D, or similar tools like InfoDrainage / MicroDrainage.The Mindset: You can work independently, manage your own workload, and feel comfortable presenting technical info to clients and stakeholders.The Qualifications: You hold a relevant degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline).
