Senior Software Engineer - Data Systems

We’re partnering with a renowned quantitative trading firm looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to build the large-scale data infrastructure powering its research and trading teams. This is a software engineering-focused data role, working on the core datasets and pipelines used by Quant Researchers and Traders across the business. What you’ll work on: • Building and operating large-scale data pipelines processing hundreds of terabytes to petabytes of data • Owning the quality, reliability, and performance of critical source data • Designing scalable systems to deliver data efficiently to research and trading teams • Optimizing pipelines to improve latency while reducing compute and storage requirements • Migrating existing workloads onto modern data platforms and hardware • Building tooling to identify and resolve data-quality issues before they impact downstream users What they’re looking for: • Strong experience building large-scale data pipelines and distributed systems • Excellent Python and SQL skills with strong software engineering fundamentals • Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP and/or HPC environments • Strong system design and software architecture experience • Experience with market data, C++, Iceberg/Delta, Spark, Trino or DuckDB is a plus This is a high-impact opportunity to own foundational data infrastructure within a highly technical trading environment, working directly with the researchers and traders consuming what you build.
