Bridge Engineer

Key Notes Across bridge-design commissions, you’ll support bridge and transport-infrastructure design projects, preparing outline and detailed designs, coordinating with other disciplines and reporting progress through project delivery. The role also includes bridge surveys and technical recommendations. A civil or structural engineering degree, graduate professional membership and experience with bridge-analysis software are sought. This is a permanent hybrid role in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham or Glasgow. What You'll Work On Prepare outline and detailed bridge designs within project budgets and programmes, coordinating inputs from other engineering disciplines and external specialists.Support bridge surveys and compile technical reports and recommendations based on the engineering evidence collected for the assigned structure.Apply CDM and CSM procedures to bridge work and report technical progress to senior engineers and project-management colleagues throughout delivery. What They Are Looking For Qualification: BEng or MEng in civil or structural engineering, or equivalent.Experience: Applicants need graduate membership of ICE, IStructE or another recognised body.Technical: Exposure to MIDAS, SuperSTRESS or Autodesk Structural Bridge Design.Domain: Knowledge or experience of CDM and CSM regulations.
