Senior Process Automation and IT Engineer

Mission: We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer II – Process Automation & IT to lead automation and digitalization initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and business performance. In this role, you will design, implement, and support advanced automation and IT solutions across manufacturing and operational environments. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive continuous improvement, Industry 4.0 initiatives, and the deployment of innovative technologies that support our digital transformation journey. Responsibilities: Lead automation and digitalization projects from concept to implementation.Develop and maintain process control, monitoring, and reporting systems.Optimize manufacturing processes through data-driven and automated solutions.Support the integration of PLCs, SCADA, MES, databases, and enterprise systems.Design and implement machine vision, automated inspection, robotics, and test automation solutions.Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation and IT-related issues.Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to improve performance.Support Value Stream Mapping (VSM), process standardization, and workflow optimization activities.Analyze manufacturing processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency, quality, cost, and delivery performance.Drive continuous improvement and Industry 4.0 initiatives.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technicians. Skills & Attributes: Proven experience in industrial automation, manufacturing systems, or industrial IT.Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, HMI, MC tester, industrial networks, databases, and system integration.Experience leading technical projects and implementing operational improvements.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Differential in leading factory digitalization and automation projects.Passion for innovation and digital transformation.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong technical expertise combined with a practical, results-oriented mindset.Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills.Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence. Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. For this UK based position, the expected pay range is GBP 57,600 - GBP 86,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives.
