In this role, you'll: Be working as part of a team delivering testing and commissioning activities for an established rail project, helping ensure upgraded assets meet technical, quality and safety requirements. You’ll complete static and dynamic testing, troubleshoot failures to identify root causes, and provide clear updates on testing progress and emerging issues. You’ll help drive continuous improvement in testing instructions and processes, while building your experience and exposure to Sydney Trains operations, standards and ways of working. This is a fixed-term, full-time opportunity for up to 24 months, based on-site in Cardiff (Newcastle), NSW. The role involves shift work and, due to its operational nature, requires an on-site presence. As such, hybrid working arrangements are not available. About You Your engineering expertise and practical approach will see you thrive in a hands-on testing and commissioning environment, solving problems and delivering safe, quality outcomes. You’re a collaborative problem solver with experience in rail, heavy vehicle, manufacturing or a similar operational environment. You’re organised, adaptable and confident working both independently and within a team. You’ve got a relevant tertiary engineering qualification, strong technical and safety knowledge, and the ability to confidently interpret electrical schematics.
