About the Opportunity: The SENIOR MANAGER, PLATFORM ENGINEERING / DEVOPS role is responsible for leading the delivery of enterprise-scale cloud platform solutions. This position drives outcomes in complex environments, guiding engineering teams to build secure, scalable, and high-quality platform capabilities that align with organizational priorities. The role is critical in ensuring platform reliability, security compliance, and operational excellence. Responsibilities: Own and execute the platform engineering roadmap aligned with enterprise prioritiesDeliver cloud platform capabilities including GKE, networking, IAM, CI/CD, and observabilityEstablish and enforce engineering standards and architectural decision recordsEnsure compliance with security and governance requirements such as SOC2 and HIPAACollaborate with stakeholders across security, networking, and application teamsProvide status reports, identify risks, and coordinate cross-team dependenciesOversee implementation of cloud landing zone configurations and GitOps adoptionMonitor platform service levels and operational metricsLead incident response, escalation management, and maintain operational documentationSupport site reliability engineering practices and production readinessLead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and contractorsPromote continuous improvement and accountability within the teamIdentify opportunities for automation and platform optimization, including AI-driven operationsEvaluate and integrate tools related to cloud security and DevOps efficiencyManage sprint planning, backlog prioritization, resource allocation, and contractor utilizationTrack deliverables, milestones, and dependencies with regular progress reporting Requirements: 7+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering4+ years leading technical teams of 5 to 10 engineers3+ years experience with Google Cloud Platform including GKE, IAM, and networkingExperience with Kubernetes, container systems, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps workflowsProficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, KCC, and Kustomize4+ years in Agile/Scrum methodologies, incident management, and stakeholder communication1+ year experience with AI-driven operations or automation frameworks3+ years designing and supporting cloud networking and production environmentsExperience with databases such as SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, Cloud Spanner, or KafkaBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience Pay Range and Compensation Package: The typical pay range for this role is $106,605.00 to $260,590.00 base annual salaryCompensation varies based on experience, education, geography, and other factorsEligibility for bonus, commission, or short-term incentive programs Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
