Platform Reliability Engineer

About the Opportunity: The PLATFORM RELIABILITY ENGINEER role is designed to ensure the availability, performance, and operational excellence of large-scale distributed systems in production environments. This position bridges development and operations by applying software engineering principles to infrastructure challenges, aiming to enhance platform reliability and reduce operational effort. The role is critical for maintaining robust, automated systems that prioritize reliability as a core engineering goal. Responsibilities: Ensure availability and performance of large-scale distributed systems.Apply software engineering principles to infrastructure and operations.Design, automate, and operate complex services to improve reliability.Lead incident response and conduct post-incident reviews. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.Six or more years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or production engineering for large-scale systems.Proficiency in programming with Python, Go, or Java for automation and tooling.Extensive experience with Linux systems, networking, and performance tuning.Experience operating Kubernetes and container-based workloads.Knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK.Expertise in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and applications.Strong understanding of distributed system design including consistency, partitioning, and failure modes.Effective communication and documentation skills.
