The firm’s active, multi-manager model demands flexible, scalable technology and advanced proprietary systems, including the next generation of analytical and trading capabilities. The Equity Derivatives technology team develops, maintains, and supports the platform and infrastructure used across Equity Derivatives, partnering closely with developers, quants, and production support teams. What You'll Do Build and maintain internal platforms supporting Equity Derivatives portfolio managers, quants, and technology teams, across compute, messaging, data, and application infrastructure.Design, build, and operate containerized workloads across Millennium’s on-premises and hybrid Kubernetes estate, with responsibility for deployment, reliability, capacity, infrastructure integration, networking and storage.Partner with development teams to containerize applications, move them onto Kubernetes, and set deployment standards.Develop robust, automated tooling for deployments, configuration management, and failover procedures using infrastructure-as-code, GitOps, and CI/CD.Write, test, support, and maintain high-quality code in line with established engineering practices, including unit testing, documentation, and automation.Profile application stacks and infrastructure to find and remove latency bottlenecks, and build the monitoring and alerting that keeps the platform performant and reliable.Apply AI-enabled approaches to strengthen data validation, anomaly detection, and support automation.Provide Level 2 production support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for critical systems. What You Bring A strong platform or infrastructure engineering background, building and supporting production systems in Unix/Linux environments, with solid systems troubleshooting skills.Proven hands-on experience designing, building, and operating production on-premises Kubernetes clusters. This includes upgrades, networking, storage, security, and high availability. Public cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.Experience with Kubernetes and container platforms such as Podman/Docker, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code and observability tooling. Experience with technologies such as Argo CD, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog is advantageous.Hands-on programming experience with Python, Groovy, or C++, and scripting in Bash or Go.Experience with messaging middleware such as Kafka or Solace, and with supporting Equity Derivatives pricing, risk, or volatility-fitting applications, is preferred.An advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Financial Engineering, or a related field.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to stay composed under pressure and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with strong ownership, critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
