Azure Cloud Engineer
Hybrid in Malta (3 times per week at the office)
We are looking for a hands-on Azure Cloud Engineer to work closely with engineering teams, managing and improving Azure infrastructure across production, staging, and development environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and maintain Azure infrastructure.
- Manage Azure services including App Service, VMs, Storage, networking, and identity.
- Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code.
- Manage VNets, subnets, private endpoints, DNS, firewalls, and routing.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimisation.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment, and production issues.
- Apply cloud security best practices, including RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault, and secrets management.
- Support incident response and root-cause analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve cloud performance, reliability, and costs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on Azure experience in Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, or DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of core Azure services and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking and security.
- Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and production environments.
- Practical, proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with software engineering teams.
