About The Role Due to continued growth, Babcock is seeking an Analytics Developer to join our expanding IT team. Reporting to the IXI & Application Services Team Leader, this role will be instrumental in transforming data into actionable insights that support business performance, operational excellence, and our commitment to ensuring everyone gets Home Safe Every Day. With a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) data, you will develop innovative analytics and reporting solutions that empower leaders to make informed decisions, enhance safety outcomes, and drive continuous improvement across the organisation. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, including the Australasian Information Exploitation team and HSE function, you will design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions using tools such as Power BI, SQL Server, SSIS, SharePoint and Excel. You'll translate business requirements into meaningful dashboards, reports and analytical insights, enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting key operational and strategic objectives. You'll also play a key role in maintaining and enhancing Babcock's reporting and analytics environment, ensuring data quality, system performance and governance standards are upheld. Your work will directly support safety performance monitoring, employee wellbeing initiatives, occupational health programs and compliance reporting, helping to create safer outcomes for our people. This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative and technically capable analytics professional who is passionate about leveraging data to solve business challenges, influence decision-making and deliver meaningful outcomes across a growing organisation. To be successful, you will bring: Australian Citizen with a Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.Relevant technology certifications (e.g., Microsoft BI, SQL, Power BI).Proven experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, or Data Engineer in a related domain.Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence tools and platforms, such as: Microsoft BI Stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI), Tableau, QlikView, Cognos, or similar technologies.Proficiency in SQL queries, Excel, and SharePoint for reporting and collaboration.
