🚀 Founding Senior Product Engineer – AI / Full Stack 📍 New York City – Hybrid 💲$200,000 - £280,000 + Equity We’re working with an early-stage AI company building a new mobile and software platform for frontline users — and they’re looking for one of their first engineering hires. This isn’t a “fingers crossed” start-up. You’ll be working directly with founders who have done this before, including building a business from 0→1, scaling it successfully and taking it through a $100m exit. Now they’re doing it again. The product combines mobile, web, AI-powered workflows and secure backend infrastructure, and they need a genuinely full-stack engineer who wants to help shape both the technology and the product from an early stage. 🛠️ What you’ll be doing Build and ship customer-facing features end-to-endWork across frontend, backend and AI-powered functionalitySpend time directly with users to understand how they work and where the real problems areTurn customer feedback, ideas and loosely defined problems into working softwareMake pragmatic technical and product decisions as the platform evolvesUse modern AI development tools to build, test and iterate quicklyDebug and own the features you ship in productionHelp establish the engineering practices the future team will inherit 🧠 What they’re looking for Strong hands-on software engineering experienceGenuine full-stack capability — comfortable building across both frontend and backendExperience with technologies such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Node.js or similarA track record of building and shipping real productsExperience working with AI/LLMs and an interest in modern AI-assisted developmentFamiliarity with tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similarStrong product instincts — you care about what should be built, not just how to code itComfortable speaking directly with customers and non-technical usersHigh levels of ownership, curiosity and drive 🤖 Experience in a founding or 0→1 environment would be useful, but it isn’t essential. They’re much more interested in finding someone technically sharp, adaptable and driven who wants to take real ownership alongside a team that already knows what it takes to build and scale a successful technology business.
