Lead Appian Developer

We are looking for an experienced Lead Appian Developer / Senior Appian Developer to join a complex digital transformation environment and contribute to the design, development, integration, and optimization of enterprise BPM applications. The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on Appian expertise, solid technical leadership capabilities, and experience working across both functional and technical teams. Key Responsibilities Design and develop applications using Appian. Understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical and process solutions. Develop and maintain: Process Models CDTs Records Reports Sites Handle Appian integration objects and integrations with external systems. Define application user roles, permissions, and responsibilities. Manage application configuration, development, continuous integration, and functional testing. Design and develop database objects supporting BPM applications. Write and optimize: SQL queries Views Stored Procedures Troubleshoot technical issues and provide hands-on development support. Contribute to process optimization and application performance improvement. Participate in the day-to-day activities of the Appian BPM development team. Work across Agile or Waterfall delivery methodologies depending on project requirements. Lead and coordinate complex workstreams involving multiple functional and technical capabilities. Required Experience & Skills 8+ years of overall IT experience. Minimum 5 years of hands-on Appian design and development experience. Strong experience with Appian 20.x or later versions. Strong hands-on experience in coding, troubleshooting, and application development. Good understanding of BPM concepts and process optimization. Strong experience working with databases and SQL. Experience with application integrations and integration objects. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders. Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives and large programs of work. Certification One of the following certifications is strongly preferred: Appian Certified Lead Developer Appian Certified Senior Developer Nice to Have Experience or knowledge in any of the following would be considered an advantage: IBM BPM TIBCO PEGA Other workflow/BPM platforms Appian AI Process HQ RPA IDP tools What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who combines strong technical Appian expertise with excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, and who is comfortable working in a large-scale enterprise environment.
