We are recruiting for a top automotive company in the Ulm region with immediate start Engineer (m/w/d) in the Transversal HV Battery System Safety & Standards Team, Commercial Electric Vehicles with fluent English and preferably German / Italian / French / Chinese Is this your next Career step? Contribute to automotive association working groups to influence developing legislation that impacts EVs, e.g. Euro 7 and the EU Battery Regulation. Become an expert in international regulations and standards related to HV battery systems and translate them into clear design requirements, focusing on European and Chinese legislation In the Transversal Battery System Engineering Team - Safety & Standards, you will leverage your multidisciplinary expertise/knowledge in global battery regulations and standards, influence future legislation and define system requirements. You will work closely with engineering teams, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to develop safe, reliable, and high-performing battery systems. Your responsibilities: Drive the identification and adoption of next-generation HV battery technologies, transforming breakthrough innovations into competitive advantages, safer products, affordability and valuable intellectual property Turn global safety learnings into action by reviewing government and private sector electric vehicle safety reports to identify high-risk safety failures and suitable solutions Build strategic relationships with leading technology suppliers, shaping innovation roadmaps and accelerating the validation and deployment of emerging battery solutions. Shape best-in-class / expert assessments HV battery safety practices across the organization to support process development for logistics, production, and service center Your profile: 5+ years of experience in Battery Engineering with experience ranging from cell to system, Testing / System / Production PhD or Masters with expert knowledge of EU7 emissions legislation and capability in reviewing technical documentation Excellent communication skills with the ability present complex topics to a general audience and work with colleagues of varying technical and commercial backgrounds and seniority Strong written, verbal and presentation skills in English with German / Italian / French / Chinese advantageous 🌐 TMC - The Member Company - is an international high-tech consultancy company that brings expertise to its clients in 16 countries to support them with the realization of their technological challenges.
