For our client, a leading organization in the insurance sector, we are currently looking for a Specialist for the position of MLOps Engineer. Service delivery model: Hybrid, remote / WarsawStart Date: 03.11.2026Cooperation: 03.11.2026–31.03.2028 (356 MD), with the possibility of extensionCooperation type: B2B, through Hays PolandLanguage: English B2 Project Description Strategic transformation programme combining business and technology to create a modern ecosystem for claims and benefits handling based on data, automation, AI and workflow processes. The goal of the programme is to build a solution setting new standards for customer service in the Polish insurance market. The project brings together specialists from multiple technology and business areas working on solutions with a direct impact on the future of customer service and the adoption of modern technologies in the insurance sector. The target project team consists of 18 specialists, including AI Developers, MLOps Engineers, Business Analysts, a Product Owner, Scrum Master and Application Administrator. Scope of Services Design, develop and maintain an AI platform for solutions used in the insurance sector.Design and build scalable MLOps/LLMOps infrastructure for training and serving models using Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Foundry and Kubernetes (AKS).Implement CI/CD pipelines for ML solutions, including automated testing, data and model versioning with DVC and MLflow, and Continuous Training (CT).Prepare Docker images for AI and GenAI models and manage their deployment on Kubernetes clusters in a hybrid architecture integrated with on-premise systems.Implement model monitoring and observability capabilities, including Data Drift and Model Drift detection, logging and alerting to support high availability of AI services.Implement solutions supporting AI Act requirements, including model auditability, data lineage and security mechanisms such as access management and encryption.Manage Azure cloud resources and optimize infrastructure costs and performance.Optimize model inference times and scale infrastructure according to workload requirements. Required Competencies At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, MLOps or Software Engineering, including practical experience with ML models in production.Overall minimum experience level indicated for the project: 5+ years.Advanced knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, including cluster management, Helm charts and Ingress.Strong experience with public cloud environments, particularly Azure, including Azure Machine Learning, AKS and Azure Container Registry, or experience with GCP/AWS combined with readiness to quickly develop Azure expertise.Practical experience in building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or Jenkins, including ML-specific processes such as model training as a pipeline step.Good knowledge of Python, including its use with ML tooling SDKs.Good knowledge of Bash/Shell scripting.Practical experience with MLOps tools, such as MLflow, Kubeflow or cloud-native solutions supporting the model lifecycle.Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, using Terraform, Bicep or Ansible.Ability to provide services from the territory of Poland.Ability to provide services in a hybrid model, including a minimum of 1 day per week from the Warsaw office.Higher technical education in Computer Science, Telecommunications or a related field.An Automation First approach, with a focus on reducing manual activities through scripting and automation tools.Ability to operate at the intersection of Data Science and IT Operations, combining an understanding of data-related concepts with infrastructure and networking knowledge.Proactive approach to resolving performance issues and production incidents.English at B2 level. Nice to Have Azure certifications: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) or Azure AI Engineer (AI-102).Experience deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) and RAG architectures.Knowledge of monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana and Azure Monitor.Understanding of networking in hybrid cloud environments, including VPN, VNet and Private Endpoints.Knowledge of vector databases, for example in the context of Azure AI Search. The cooperation is carried out between independent businesses (B2B model) and covers the performance of services within the agreed project scope. The Contractor independently organizes and manages the manner in which the services are performed, taking into account the project requirements, security obligations, and the necessary communication with the client.
