Full Stack Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join a major European digital transformation programme based in Luxembourg. You will contribute to the development, evolution and support of large-scale business-critical applications used to manage European programmes and digital services. Working within an international and multicultural environment, you will play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining modern web applications, APIs, business intelligence solutions and cloud-enabled services. The role combines full stack development responsibilities with reporting and analytics capabilities, requiring expertise across front-end technologies, back-end development, database management and business intelligence platforms. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, analysts, architects and development teams to deliver secure, scalable and user-focused digital solutions. What you'll do Design and develop modern front-end architectures and responsive web applications.Develop and maintain back-end services, APIs and business logic components.Implement secure, scalable and maintainable software solutions.Design and develop user interfaces that deliver an optimal user experience across browsers and devices.Build and maintain REST APIs and integration services.Apply security best practices including authentication, authorization, input validation, logging and monitoring.Perform software analysis, troubleshooting, debugging and issue resolution.Participate in the design and development of scalable enterprise applications.Develop and maintain database structures, queries and integrations.Create clean, maintainable and well-documented code across the entire technology stack.Execute unit, integration and end-to-end testing activities.Contribute to the migration and modernisation of legacy applications.Develop Qlik Sense and Power BI reports, dashboards and presentation layers.Deploy and administer Qlik and Power BI solutions.Analyse data and business processes to identify areas for optimisation and improvement.Deploy and manage applications using CI/CD pipelines and containerisation technologies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between front-end, back-end and reporting components.Produce technical documentation and knowledge-transfer materials.Support cloud-based deployments and application lifecycle management activities. What we're looking for University degree corresponding to Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (typically a Master's degree or 5 years of higher education) and a minimum of 5 years of professional IT experience; orUniversity degree corresponding to Level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework (typically a Bachelor's degree or 3 years of higher education) and a minimum of 7 years of professional IT experience; orSecondary education granting access to higher education and a minimum of 12 years of professional IT experience.Minimum 10 years of experience in software development.Minimum 5 years of experience developing PHP applications.Minimum 5 years of experience with Qlik Sense or Qlik technologies.Strong experience with front-end technologies including Angular, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.Experience with modern front-end frameworks and libraries.Strong knowledge of PHP and Symfony.Experience with Java-based development environments and REST API implementation.Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.Knowledge of non-relational databases such as MongoDB.Experience designing, developing and securing RESTful APIs and web services.Experience with Qlik Sense and Power BI development, administration and reporting.Experience with XML and JSON data formats.Knowledge of CI/CD tools and development pipelines.Experience with Git-based version control systems and collaborative development workflows.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.Knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or Azure Bicep.Understanding of authentication and authorisation protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and JWT.Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and scripting.Very good knowledge of both English and French (minimum B2 level).Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in multicultural and international environments. Nice to have Experience with the European Component Library (ECL).Experience with Power BI advanced development and administration.Knowledge of WebLogic.Experience working on large-scale public sector or European Institution programmes.Experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo and GitLab.Knowledge of PM² or PM²-Agile methodologies.AWS Certified Developer Associate or Microsoft Azure Developer Associate certification.Qlik or Power BI certification.
