About the Opportunity: The AI ENGINEER role involves developing and delivering AI/ML systems as part of a cross-functional team. This position is suited for an early-career engineer ready to take ownership of tasks and contribute to building and maintaining AI models, pipelines, and associated systems. The role is essential for ensuring the reliability and quality of AI solutions in production, supporting ongoing development, and collaborating with senior engineers to enhance capabilities. Responsibilities: Build and deliver features for AI/ML and LLM-powered systems under senior guidanceImplement and maintain components of AI/ML pipelines, including data ingestion and model deploymentContribute to LLM functionalities such as prompts, evaluations, retrieval, and tool integrationsPerform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and basic evaluation to ensure quality inputs and validate model performanceCollaborate with distributed, cross-functional teams to advance projectsDocument experiments, results, and model decisions clearly for team useParticipate in code reviews and team discussions, offering and receiving feedbackOwn assigned tasks with consistency and thoroughnessShare insights from experiments to foster continuous improvementMaintain intellectual curiosity to explore new approaches and grow technical skills Requirements: Minimum of 3 years professional software engineering experience with AI/ML systems and generative AI developmentProficient in software engineering with Python or similar languagesBasic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and interest in advancing AWS and AWS GenAI skillsExperience contributing to agentic AI systems alongside senior engineersFamiliarity with AI frameworks, orchestration tools, and evaluation/observability for LLM applicationsAwareness of AI safety, responsible AI principles, prompt injection risks, and PII handlingExposure to RAG pipelines, including chunking strategies, embedding models, and vector databasesExperience with API integration, both internal and third-partyUnderstanding of LLM cost factors like token economics and cachingWorking knowledge of Docker and some exposure to KubernetesRegular use of AI-forward coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor Pay Range and Compensation Package: Salary range for this role is $105,000 USD to $147,000 USDComprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, vision insurance, and 401(k) for eligible employees Benefits & Perks: Paid time offMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance401(k) Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
