About the Opportunity: The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER on the Ecosystem Services Team will develop and maintain backend systems and integrations that support critical services. This role involves owning the full lifecycle of services, from development through production monitoring, ensuring reliability and performance. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and scalable backend platforms that power products used by millions. Responsibilities: Lead backend development and maintain server-side logicOwn services end-to-end including deployment, operation, and production healthCollaborate with Cloud Engineering to improve production environments and monitoringParticipate in on-call rotations to address production issuesHandle releases, dependency updates, and support requestsApply AI-assisted development tools where appropriatePartner with frontend and platform teams to align on APIs and data contractsConduct code reviews to uphold quality and reliabilityParticipate in security and privacy compliance reviews Requirements: Minimum 4 years of software development experience focused on backend technologiesStrong skills in Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Rust for backend servicesProficiency in PostgreSQL and SQL optimization, including schema design and migrationsDevOps experience with Google Cloud Platform and Docker-based deployment pipelinesExperience with observability tools like Sentry and GrafanaCommitment to delivering quality, reliable software under real-world constraintsStrong engineering judgment and ability to navigate ambiguity Pay Range and Compensation Package: The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
