About the Opportunity:
The SOFTWARE DEVELOPER role focuses on maintaining and enhancing a critical federal health insurance oversight system.
This position contributes by ensuring the system's reliability, improving legacy components, and implementing new features within a complex production environment.
The role supports government operations by balancing system stability with incremental modernization.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, document, and maintain secure, production-quality software.Develop and support backend services and user interfaces using Java, Spring, React, and Angular.Analyze and diagnose complex application, integration, data, and performance issues.Maintain legacy production applications while contributing to modernization efforts.Write and optimize SQL queries and database components using PostgreSQL.Participate in code reviews, automated testing, defect resolution, release preparation, deployment validation, and production support.Work within AWS environments and utilize continuous integration and delivery tools like Jenkins and GitHub.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with at least four years of relevant software development experience.Experience maintaining and enhancing legacy production systems in a federal program context, including adherence to security and operational processes.Strong communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The pay range for specified states is $97,500—$115,200 USD.
