It operates primarily as a remote-first company across the U.S. About the Opportunity: The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER plays a key role in developing scalable and high-quality software systems, contributing throughout the design and development lifecycle. This position involves both backend and frontend development responsibilities, with a focus on maintaining and enhancing product features, resolving escalations, and driving technical decisions that align with product objectives. The role is essential for ensuring robust system performance and supporting the organization's strategic goals. Responsibilities: Participate in code and design reviews to support operations and planningEngage in full application lifecycle tasks, including coding and debuggingDevelop clean, functional web applicationsBuild and maintain data pipelines converting data into Kafka streams and key indicatorsPerform advanced troubleshooting and debuggingConduct UI tests to improve performanceCollaborate with developers, designers, and system administrators on feature identificationMaintain and upgrade legacy applications using modern technologiesGather and address technical and design requirementsConfigure and monitor system environmentsCreate reusable code and libraries for future useProvide training and support to internal teamsEnhance development tools, test coverage, and code structureMentor and support junior engineersContribute to architectural discussionsRespond promptly to on-call incidents to minimize downtimeMaintain clear communication with customers and vendorsIndependently manage tasks and adapt to challengesUphold development standards within the teamAdvocate for an API-first approach to software projects Requirements: Minimum of 8 years of software development experience or 6 years with an advanced degreeBachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experienceProficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Kotlin or JavaExperience with modern JavaScript frameworks, preferably Vue.js, also React, Angular, and Tailwind CSSFamiliarity with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIsUnderstanding of software development lifecycleExperience with cloud-native infrastructure, AWS, and KubernetesKnowledge of Kafka and event-driven architectureAbility to collaborate effectively in agile environmentsStrong analytical, time management, and communication skillsExperience working cross-functionally with engineering and product teamsSkilled in monitoring and supporting production systemsExperience optimizing system performance and troubleshooting bottlenecksExpertise in SQL and NoSQL databases and caching strategiesKnowledge of REST API best practicesExperience developing various test types including unit, UI automation, and integration testsFamiliarity with AI-driven engineering practices to improve coding and testing Pay Range and Compensation Package: The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
