About The Role This is a newly created IT Infrastructure Engineer role, established to support one of Siemens Healthineers’ most significant UK investments: our brand‑new £250m innovation and manufacturing facility at Bicester. From the outset, you’ll play a central role in shaping, supporting and evolving the IT infrastructure that underpins this state‑of‑the‑art site. You’ll be a key technical partner as the facility grows, balancing hands‑on delivery with longer‑term design and improvement. Working closely with local and global teams, you’ll help ensure the environment is secure, resilient and future‑ready, while having genuine influence over how systems are built and optimised from day one. What You’ll Be Doing Supporting, designing and implementing core IT infrastructure for a brand‑new manufacturing and innovation environmentIdentifying and delivering opportunities to improve system performance, resilience and securityDefining, developing and delivering complex infrastructure projects, working both independently and collaborativelyMaintaining and enhancing information and cyber security practices across systems and platformsInvestigating issues, identifying root causes, and recommending or implementing effective solutionsWorking closely with the Service Desk on escalated incidents, providing technical support and knowledge transferContributing to a culture of continuous improvement, shared ownership and learning Work Experience Experience working with Windows desktop and server environments, both on‑premise and cloud‑hostedKnowledge of high‑performance computing environmentsNetworking experience across LAN (VLANs), WAN (SD‑WAN), Wi‑Fi and firewallsExperience with infrastructure and server monitoringA strong understanding of information and cyber security best practicesFamiliarity with ITIL and project management principlesAbility to automate tasks using scriptingA thoughtful, collaborative approach, with the confidence to work autonomously when required Benefits Competitive base salary26 days annual leave with the option to buy up to 10 additional days and sell up to 5 daysUp to 10% matched pension contributionsBUPA Private MedicalBonus & Share Save SchemeFree to use on-site gym2 paid volunteering days a yearCareer development opportunities within a global market leader Who We Are We are a team of more than 73,000 highly dedicated Healthineers in more than 70 countries.
