With 150 years of craftsmanship behind us and an exciting period of growth ahead, we’re looking for a Digital & Ecommerce Assistant to join our team in Sydney.
Reporting to the Head of Digital & Ecommerce, this is a hands-on opportunity for someone early in their digital career who is passionate about ecommerce, digital marketing, content and creating great customer experiences.
You’ll work across Akubra’s website, digital campaigns, social media, CRM, loyalty and ecommerce activity, helping ensure everything our customers see and experience online feels unmistakably Akubra.
About the Role
You’ll support the day-to-day execution of our digital and ecommerce activity, working closely with our Digital, Marketing, Creative, CX and Retail teams.
You’ll be involved in everything from launching new products and updating our website to scheduling social content, building email campaigns and helping us understand how our digital channels are performing.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing website content, collections, navigation, merchandising and promotional updates.Supporting new product launches, including product information, imagery, pricing and online merchandising.Helping execute digital campaigns, coordinating assets, copy, landing pages, approvals and launch requirements.QA checking website updates, campaigns and product launches across desktop and mobile.Supporting the social media content calendar and scheduling approved content across Akubra’s social channels.Preparing captions, links, tags and other social publishing requirements.Assisting with user-generated content, influencer and creator activity.Building, scheduling and QA checking approved email and SMS campaigns.Supporting CRM segmentation, customer journeys and loyalty communications.Monitoring ecommerce performance including sales, sessions, conversion, average order value and other key metrics.Assisting with weekly and monthly digital, ecommerce, CRM and social reporting.Supporting omnichannel initiatives across ecommerce and our growing retail network.Working with internal teams and external agencies to keep digital projects moving.Keeping digital assets, campaign information and content organised and up to date.Identifying opportunities to improve our customers’ digital experience.
About You
You’re organised, curious and digitally minded, with strong attention to detail and a willingness to get involved.
You’ll ideally bring:
1-2 years’ experience in digital, ecommerce, marketing, CRM or a similar role, ideally within fashion, retail or a consumer-focused business.A qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business, Ecommerce, Fashion or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.An understanding of ecommerce fundamentals, including website content, merchandising, digital campaigns, conversion and customer journeys.Exposure to platforms such as Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta, Google, Yotpo or Triple Whale would be an advantage.Strong written communication skills and an understanding of brand tone of voice.Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot when something isn’t quite right.Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.A proactive, hands-on approach – you’re someone who sees what needs doing and gets involved.Confidence working with different teams, stakeholders and external partners.A genuine interest in ecommerce, digital marketing, customer experience and retail.
