Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex IT software projects within our SaaS product portfolio. This role requires a skilled project delivery professional who can manage multiple concurrent projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of high-quality software solutions in the HR and payroll technology space. Key Responsibilities The core responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager includes but is not limited to: Project Planning & Execution Lead end-to-end project delivery for complex software implementations, upgrades, and enhancements. Work with cross functional leads to develop comprehensive project plans including scope, timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk management strategies. Define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders. Manage project schedules, dependencies, and critical path activities to ensure timely delivery. Track and report on project progress, budget utilization, and key milestones to stakeholders and leadership. Team Leadership & Coordination Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across distributed teams and time zones. Conduct regular team meetings including standups, planning sessions, retrospectives, and status reviews. Resolve conflicts, remove blockers, and ensure team members have the resources needed to succeed. Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Manage stakeholder expectations through clear, timely communication and proactive issue resolution. Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions. Prepare and deliver project status reports, presentations, and business updates. Coordinate with internal business departments, sales, customer success, and support teams for customer-facing implementations. Risk & Change Management Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle. Manage change requests through formal change control processes. Develop contingency plans and implement corrective actions when projects deviate from plan. Ensure quality standards are maintained through established testing and acceptance procedures. Process & Methodology Apply methodologies including agile and traditional project management approaches as appropriate. Ensure adherence to organisational project management and governance standards, templates, and best practices. Drive continuous improvement of project delivery processes and practices. Maintain accurate project documentation including plans, schedules, budgets, and lessons learned. Ensure compliance with ELMO’s information security privacy policies and procedures. Key Performance Indicators/OKRs On-Time Delivery Rate: 90%+ of projects delivered within agreed timelines. Budget Adherence: 95%+ of projects completed within approved budget (±5% variance). Stakeholder Satisfaction Score: 4.5/5 or higher on project delivery surveys. Project Success Rate: 90%+ of projects meeting defined success criteria and stakeholder acceptance. Team Velocity: Consistent or improving sprint velocity quarter-over-quarter. Performance Management & Business Impact Deliver 90%+ of projects on time & within budget while maintaining quality standards. Maintain stakeholder satisfaction through effective communication. Achieve 90%+ risk mitigation success rate across all projects. Required Positional Qualifications, Attributes and Skills: 5+ years of project management experience delivering IT software projects in SaaS environments. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and within budget. Formal project management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile certifications such as CSM/PMI-ACP, or equivalent). Strong experience with agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar), software development lifecycle (SDLC) and delivery processes. Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, resources, and competing priorities. Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with project management tools and collaboration platforms. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or related field. Desired Experience delivering projects for HR and/or payroll software solutions. Understanding of HR technology landscape and business processes (recruitment, onboarding, payroll processing, benefits administration). Knowledge of compliance requirements relevant to HR/payroll systems (data privacy, labor laws, tax regulations). Experience with SaaS implementation methodologies and cloud-based software delivery. Technical background or strong ability to understand technical architecture and constraints.
