Senior Project Engineer – Gawara Baya Wind Farm Symal | $347M Wind Farm Project | North Queensland | FIFO/DIDO | 2/1 Roster | 30% Project Uplift Build something bigger with Symal Symal is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our delivery team on the $347M Gawara Baya Wind Farm in North Queensland. This is a major 400MW renewable energy project involving significant earthworks, internal roads, drainage, concrete structures and associated civil infrastructure. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of the project, working closely with the Project Manager, Construction Managers and site leadership team to drive engineering, technical and construction outcomes. This is an opportunity to take a senior role on a major renewable infrastructure project and work on a project of genuine scale and complexity. About The Role Reporting into the project leadership team, you will be responsible for managing engineering and technical delivery across your allocated areas of the project. Your responsibilities will include: Leading engineering and technical delivery across the projectProviding technical leadership and support to construction teamsManaging subcontractors, consultants and suppliersDeveloping and reviewing construction methodologies, ITPs and technical documentationMonitoring progress, quality, costs and technical complianceSupporting project planning, programming and reportingManaging engineering deliverables and technical documentationIdentifying and resolving construction and engineering issuesWorking closely with Supervisors, Project Managers and the wider delivery teamSupporting the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of worksContributing to project controls, commercial outcomes and continuous improvement About You You will be an experienced Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in Australian civil construction and major infrastructure delivery. We are looking for: Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualificationStrong Australian civil construction experienceDemonstrated experience delivering major infrastructure projectsStrong experience across earthworks, roads, drainage and/or concreteExperience managing subcontractors and technical deliverablesStrong understanding of construction methodologies, quality and project controlsSound commercial awareness and attention to detailStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work effectively within a remote project environmentProven ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing project teamExperience across renewable energy, wind farms or other major civil infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
