Company Name: Mastek Experience: 8+ Years Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days Location: Reading UK Work Mode: Hybrid Preferred SC Cleared only Role Description – Java Full Stack Developer Mastek is set to deliver a high-profile programme for a central government department. The programme represents the next generation of the UKs biometric capability replacing and integrating with legacy systems and other government departments. You will be part of a Mastek team in a multi-vendor project with a shared code base. As a Java full stack developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing cloud native applications using cutting edge technologies. The role requires in-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and strong technical experience with an open-minded attitude and ability to rapidly adapt and learn. Must have skills: Extensive server-side, hands-on Java 8+ development experience with strong Spring, Spring Boot & HibernateStrong understanding of Microservice architectureExperience building web services and APIs on RESTStrong understanding of unit & integration tests, following TDD / BDDExperience using test frameworks like Junit, Mockito, Power Mockito & WiremockExperience and understanding of CICD pipeline of Docker, Jenkins and KubernetesExperience with front end technologies: HTML, JavaScript, Jquery, Mustcahe TemplatesLed a team of Java developers to deliver high-quality software solutionsDesign and develop Java applications, APIs, and microservicesWork collaboratively with other teams to ensure seamless integration of software componentsConduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standardsActively participating in architectural & design discussionsExperience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the teamTake ownership of scrum team’s timelines and deliverablesProposing solutions to complex problems that are in the boundary of the existing system architectureHave an ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.Understanding of all the agile ceremonies.Experience in Relational Database Management System (e.g. PostgreSQL) Nice to have skills: Knowledge of Workflow/Business Process Management toolsExperience with Performance and Monitoring tools: JMeter, Kibana, Splunk, DynatraceExperience writing Shell scriptUnderstanding of PythonGood understanding on AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, API Gateway and Serverless technologies)Integration Engine tools: Apache Camel and Active MQ for messaging, web services and distributed systemsPublic Sector domain experience preferable
