Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the Company Our client is looking for an experienced Senior/Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing Building Services team in London. About the Role You will work on a diverse range of technically challenging projects across residential, commercial, industrial and healthcare sectors, taking responsibility for electrical design delivery from concept through to detailed design and construction. Responsibilities Deliver electrical building services designs from concept through to detailed design.Lead electrical design packages across a range of projects.Produce and review calculations, specifications, drawings and technical reports.Design electrical systems including LV distribution, lighting, small power, containment, earthing and bonding, and fire alarm systems.Coordinate designs with mechanical, architectural, structural and other disciplines.Liaise with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.Attend design and project meetings and provide technical input.Support and mentor junior engineers.Assist with project delivery, technical reviews and quality assurance.Ensure designs comply with relevant British Standards, regulations and project requirements. Qualifications Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification preferred.Chartered or working towards Chartered status would be advantageous. Required Skills Strong experience within Building Services / MEP consultancy.Previous experience working at Senior or Principal Electrical Design Engineer level.Strong knowledge of electrical building services design.Experience delivering projects through different design stages.Confident working with clients and multidisciplinary teams.Ability to lead technical design packages and support junior engineers. Preferred Skills Chartered or working towards Chartered status would be advantageous.
