The Memory Studies Association is an international non-profit association dedicated to advancing research in the field of collective memory: www.memorystudiesassociation.org We are an international non-profit association, legally based in the Netherlands, dedicated to advancing research and supporting scholars both through online activities and through our annual conference. We currently have around 1,500 members from more than 50 countries, with membership expected to grow. Our current WordPress website is no longer fit for purpose, and we’re looking for an experienced web designer/developer to design and build a new one. Project Overview We need an up-to-date, secure, GDPR-compliant website that can manage our membership, support communication between members and with the public, and be easy for a non-technical team to maintain going forward. Core Functionalities Needed Membership management: handling annual dues payments and donationsMail campaigns: infrastructure for sending communications/newsletters to membersMembers-only area: restricted access to member-only information and event registrationPublic-facing content: an interface for announcements and an events agendaFor discussion: integration of existing conference management software such as Dryfta, or provision of new infrastructure for managing our annual conference (applications, review process, registration, payments, and programming).
