Senior Software Engineer C#/.NET

Position Title: Senior Software Engineer — C#/.NET Location: Remote (EST Time Zone) Position Status: Full Time Pay Rate: $60-$65/hr W2 Position Description We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a collaborative software development team focused on designing, developing, testing, and enhancing enterprise software solutions. This role is ideal for an experienced C#/.NET developer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, building high-quality applications, and contributing creative ideas to improve products and development processes. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for developing new features and enhancements, troubleshooting and resolving production issues, and collaborating closely with Product Owners and fellow engineers to translate requirements into reliable, scalable software. You’ll have the opportunity to work with Microsoft technologies, C#, .NET, Azure DevOps, web services, distributed systems, and modern software development practices while contributing to a team that values technical creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement new software features, enhancements, and product improvements. Analyze requirements and translate business needs into effective technical solutions. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production issues and software defects. Collaborate with Product Owners and cross-functional development team members to clarify requirements and expected outcomes. Develop solutions using Microsoft C#/.NET technologies and object-oriented programming principles. Design and implement maintainable software using established design patterns and coding standards. Work with Microsoft Azure DevOps for source control, task tracking, and development workflows. Develop tools, processes, and engineering practices that improve team productivity and software quality. Collaborate with external technology and industry partners to integrate third-party services into software products. Follow established development procedures, version-control practices, and engineering standards. Create and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and follow established Agile software development practices. Collaborate closely with engineers and other stakeholders in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Contribute technical ideas and creative solutions to improve products, processes, and overall team effectiveness. Required Skills/Education 4+ years of hands-on software development and software design experience using Microsoft C#/.NET. Strong experience with C# and .NET development. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles. Experience working with Web Services, XML, and JSON. Knowledge of common software design patterns. Strong experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies. Demonstrated experience with unit testing and integration testing, including MSTest, NUnit, and/or xUnit. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality software. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a software engineering team. Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of learning new technologies and systems quickly. Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality software solutions. Preferred / Additional Experience Experience with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF). Experience with NHibernate. Experience with Windows Workflow Foundation. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and relational database development. Familiarity with HTML and JavaScript. Experience developing multi-tier and distributed systems. Experience integrating third-party or external services into enterprise applications. Experience working with Azure DevOps and modern source-control workflows.
