Senior Databricks Engineer

A Data and Analytics consultancy client of ours requires several immediate start Databricks Engineers for several of their projects in Sydney. The role can be onsite, hybrid or remote. It can also be based in the Melbourne office. Requirements: Databricks (ideally with certifications) an absolute This role is ideal for someone with 3-7 years of experience delivering complex data and analytics solutions in a client-facing environment, preferably within a consulting setting. You will be responsible for leading the technical delivery of end-to-end data projects, with a strong focus on Microsoft’s modern data platform stack, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and ideally, Databricks or Microsoft Fabric. You will also guide clients through cloud data migrations, modern data architecture, and best practices for scalable data engineering. Key Responsibilities Ideally lead and deliver data engineering projects from discovery through deployment.Design and implement cloud-native data pipelines using Azure and DatabricksFabric experience is a bonusProvide strategic input on medallion data architecture, migration strategies, and governance.Ideally act as a technical lead, mentoring junior engineers and guiding project teams.Engage directly with clients to understand business goals and align technical solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions into broader business initiatives and strategies.Collaborate closely with stakeholders, providing clear updates on progress, risks, and scope changes.
