For this type of work permit, a Bachelor's Degree related to the position is mandatory.JOB DESCRIPTION Senior/ Middle-Level DevOps Engineer Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Middle-Level DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure and CI/CD platforms that support our software development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with Software Engineers, QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams to automate processes, improve deployment reliability, and ensure operational excellence. As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior engineers, drive DevOps best practices, and contribute to architectural decisions that enable rapid and reliable software delivery. The selected candidate will have 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering. Duties and Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and automated software deliveryAutomate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processesDesign and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure Kubernetes environmentsMonitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement preventive measuresCollaborate with development teams to improve application reliability, scalability, and deployment strategiesImplement and maintain observability solutions, including monitoring, logging, and alertingEnsure infrastructure complies with security best practices and organizational standardsPerform capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and business continuity improvementsLead incident response activities, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviewsMentor junior DevOps engineers and promote DevOps culture and best practices across engineering teamsEvaluate and introduce new technologies and tools to improve platform efficiency and developer productivityParticipate in architecture discussions and infrastructure planning for new products and services Knowledge and Experience - Required Strong Linux system administration experienceExtensive experience with containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher(or similar Kubernetes management platforms)Strong experience with Git and modern Git workflowsExperience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Azure DevOpsStrong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or GoExperience with Infrastructure as Code toolsExperience with virtualization technologies: VMware, ProxmoxExperience implementing monitoring and observability solutions: Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Icinga ELK/OpenSearchStrong understanding of networking concepts, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPN technologiesExperience implementing security best practices, including secrets management, vulnerability remediation, and system hardeningExperience troubleshooting distributed systems and production environments Nice to have Experience with public cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud PlatformExperience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)Experience with SRE principles including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgetsExperience supporting microservices architectures.Familiarity with compliance frameworks and security standards Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experienceA minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a related roleProficiency in the English LanguageA bachelor's or master's degree related to the position is mandatory for applicants from outside the EU due to work permit requirements Compensation and benefits Competitive gross annual salary, € 40,000 - € 60,000 commensurate with knowledge and experienceHybrid working arrangement ( on location)Flexible working hoursRelocation assistance packagePrivate healthcare coverage for employees and their children, fully paid by the companyFully covered life insurancePension plan scheme ( when reaching 1 year at the company)Gym membership for employees is fully paid by the companyModern office facilities located in sunny Gran CanariaA spacious 1,000 m² office featuring a fully equipped kitchen and a relaxation area with scenic views of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria seaside and portComplimentary coffee, tea, milk, fruits, cereals, and nuts are available at the office23 days of paid annual leave in addition to official public holidays observed in SpainAssistance for expatriate employees in managing all administrative procedures with the relevant Spanish institutions
