We’re looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join our Specs Lens Platform team at Snap Inc! What you’ll do: Design, develop, and support features for LensCore, the AR engine driving experiences on Specs, Snapchat Lenses and Lens StudioOptimize LensCore engine for SpecsWork closely with other teams to bring your features to Lens creatorsParticipate in feature planning and creating technical specifications Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong computer science fundamentalsGreat communication skills; ability to work in a teamKnowledge of scripting languages (one of Python or JavaScript)Understanding of Linux/Unix environment and command line toolsHands-on with AI dev tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Codex or similar) Minimum Qualifications: BS in a technical field or equivalent years of experience2+ years of industry C++ development experienceOne of:Experience with rendering APIs such as DirectX, Metal, Vulkan or OpenGLExperience with a 3D rendering engine like Lens Studio, Unity or UnrealExperience with computer vision, sensors, or machine learning Preferred Qualifications: Experience with modern C++Technical leadership experienceExperience creating developer-facing APIs and librariesKnowledge of Qt frameworkExperience with libraries like OpenCV, Eigen and glm. Compensation In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future. Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): The base salary range for this position is $157,000-$235,000 annually. Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $149,000-$223,000 annually. Zone C: The base salary range for this position is $133,000-$200,000 annually. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
