Senior Software Engineer (.NET)

Software engineers are responsible for the complete life cycle of a new or modified software product, from research and design to implementation, training and support. Essential Duties Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications supporting internal business requirements or external customersSupports and/or installs software applications, may include end user training and documentationDocuments and maintains software functionality including break/fix and continual improvementParticipates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of softwareExecutes full life-cycle software developmentWrites well-designed, testable, efficient code for complex solutionsUpdates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools and programming techniquesParticipates in outside educational opportunitiesMentors Level I and II associates, facilitates associates on-boardingReviews other team members' code to ensure adherence to standardsWorks under limited supervisionRelies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goalsRecognized by peers as a disproportionate contributorMay provide consultation on projects and is considered to be a subject matter expert on technologyInvolved in Level II on-call supportOther duties as assigned. Qualifications Master’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of relevant experience, or 7+ years of equivalent experience5+ years’ experience in primary technology stack: .NET, C#, MVC, JavaScript, SSIS, T-SQLDemonstrable experience in full stack web application software development – front end Web UI, middle tier service layer, and back end databaseExperience in Agile development processes, methodologies, and toolsDemonstrable experience working with database technologies, able to write complex SQL statements to read, update, insert, and delete dataExcellent knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS, SQL, Web User Interface Design, Web Services, Object-Oriented Design, and Security Principles Corporate Summary At Shamrock Foods Company, people come first – our associates, our customers, and the families we serve across the nation.
