Principal Program Manager - MEMS Development and Foundry Execution

Job Overview Program Manager – MEMS Development, BU Sensors in TE Connectivity Transportation Segment – Canada is responsible for driving planning, execution, and delivery of programs supporting MEMS foundries and ecosystem partners. This role coordinates cross-functional execution across Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Product Management, Quality, Finance and Operations. This is an exciting time to join Sensors Central Technology development team as we expand MEMS portfolio, process capability and functionality. Our MEMS programs require fast execution, close coordination with external manufacturing partners, internal manufacturing sites, and strong connectivity between internal customer requirements, program commitments, and on-the-ground execution. This role will strengthen BU Sensors ability to execute with speed, clarity, and accountability across global teams. The role requires a hands-on program leader who can operate with agility, curiosity, ownership, and strong follow-through in a fast-changing environment. The successful candidate must be comfortable working through ambiguity, applying prior experience and technical knowledge in MEMS processing, learning new technologies quickly, identifying risks early, and driving actions to closure without waiting for detailed direction. The Program Manager will support solution-level execution by maintaining program schedules, risks, dependencies, decisions, and action plans. Success requires more than meeting facilitation or status reporting. This role must actively drive alignment, escalate blockades, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and help teams translate ambiguity into actionable and executable plans. At the same time, this role will maintain all internal systems and quality required documentation. Strong knowledge of MEMS processing and excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required, as this role will regularly interact with issues in MEMS process design and manufacturing, regional and global stakeholders Job Requirements Lead planning and execution for assigned MEMS development programs from concept through execution, validation, and SOP.Close interaction with external MEMS Manufacturing partners (often on site), follow up on process, risks and issues and solution definition together with R&D engineeringDrive accountability and execution with external foundry partners through structured reviews, action tracking, escalation management, and performance monitoring.Lead weekly operational reviews with foundry partners, ensuring commitments, risks, process changes, and recovery plans are clearly documented and executed.Develop strong working relationships with foundry engineering and operations teams to proactively identify schedule risks and manufacturing constraints.Lead development and execution of recovery plans when program milestones are at risk due to process, capacity, yield, equipment, or supply chain constraints.Track and communicate key performance indicators including schedule adherence, cycle time, wafer starts, yield readiness, validation progress, issue closure rate, and on-time delivery of program milestones.Build and maintain integrated program schedules using Microsoft Project or other commercial program management.Monitor and report performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met; arrange modifications as required and evaluate program effectiveness by collecting and analysing data in support of key performance metricsProactively identify risks, gaps, and blockers; drive mitigation plans, recovery actions, and timely escalation where needed. Drive cross-functional alignment across MEMS Engineering, Product Development Engineering, Product Management, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance and Operations.Support internal/external customer milestone alignment by connecting their needs with internal execution plans, sample readiness, validation, and manufacturing readiness.Ensure that activities follow organizational policies, safety, quality and compliance requirements as well as external regulatory and contractual requirements.Facilitate effective program reviews and working sessions focused on decisions, actions, blockers, and next steps.Prepare clear program updates, dashboards, risk summaries, and executive-level status readouts.Communicate clearly and professionally in English with global internal and external stakeholders.Build trusted working relationships across functions, regions, and sites to improve execution speed, transparency, and accountability. What Your Background Should Look Like 10+ years of experience in MEMS processing, CMOS or similar semiconductor manufacturing5+ years of experience in program management, technical/ engineering program management, manufacturing program management, or related roles; 7+ years preferred. B.S. in Engineering or related technical field is required. M.S./ Ph. D degree preferred.PMP, Agile, Scrum, Lean, Design for Six Sigma, or equivalent certification preferred.Proven track record of driving cross-functional teams to deliver measurable results, not simply documenting status or meeting notesWilling to come often to the external manufacturing sites to review status, identify process problems and plan improvement activities.Good understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA and SPC is required.Hands-on experience with MS Project or other commercial program management tools.Strong understanding of advanced product development (APD), new product introduction (NPI), Product Validation, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp processes.Solid experience in developing MEMS process for automotive market and AEC-Q103 requirements and qualifications.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and aggressive customer timelines.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
