Forward-Deployed Engineer

Platia AI (soon to be Chloe AI) builds AI agents for community, partner, and program operations. Our agents work inside the tools our customers already use, helping teams turn manual workflows into repeatable, AI-powered operations. We’re looking for Forward-Deployed Engineers (FDEs) to work directly with customers, understanding their workflows, onboarding them onto our platform, and helping turn real operational processes into workflows that agents can handle. This is a part-time, remote contract role starting October 2026. --- WHAT YOU'LL DO --- You won't just hand over software and walk away. You'll work directly with customers inside tools like Slack, Notion, HubSpot, or Salesforce. You'll: Talk with customers to understand how their current workflows actually workHelp scope the right workflow to automate and define success metricsOnboard customers and run workflows alongside themConfigure agents and wire up integrationsTroubleshoot and debug technical issuesIdentify what can and cannot yet be automatedDocument patterns, edge cases, and customer feedbackTurn repeated onboarding patterns into templates our product team can build on The goal is simple: take a workflow that initially requires hands-on support and progressively make it run without you. --- TWO WAYS YOU MAY WORK --- Track A — Depth / Enterprise Accounts Work closely with a small number of customers over a longer engagement. You'll help define a workflow, run it alongside the customer, introduce agents step by step, and measure progress against agreed KPIs. Track B — Breadth / Assisted Accounts Onboard a larger number of customers through shorter engagements and ongoing check-ins. You'll identify recurring patterns across accounts and turn those patterns into reusable templates and product insights. Tell us which type of work fits you better, or if you're comfortable with both. --- WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR --- You don't need to be a systems engineer, but you should: Be comfortable reading and writing code well enough to set up integrations and debug themBe comfortable working directly with customers and representing Platia AIBe able to listen to a messy operational process and turn it into a clear, scoped workflowCommunicate clearly and document what you learnKnow when to say, "That's outside the scope for now"Be comfortable working in English with US-based customers Experience as a Solutions Engineer, Forward-Deployed Engineer, Technical Account Manager, implementation consultant, technical consultant, or operations lead is especially relevant. Experience running a community, accelerator, partner program, or similar operation is also valuable.
