About the Opportunity Edward Jacobs is currently working with several established engineering consultancies hiring Structural and Senior Structural Engineers across Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane. These opportunities suit experienced Structural Engineers who are ready to take on greater technical responsibility, lead projects and progress toward project leadership. Depending on the opportunity, you may work across: Residential apartment, multi-residential and mixed-use developments across SydneyRemedial works on multi-storey buildingsCommercial-scale architectural buildings, including university and school projects (Brisbane)Broader structural engineering projects across the Newcastle and Hunter region You will take projects from concept and design through to documentation, construction support and site inspections. Some roles are purely design-focused. With multiple clients currently hiring, we can take the time to understand your experience and career goals and find the opportunity that fits you best. About You We are looking for Structural and Senior Structural Engineers with: 5+ years of hands-on structural engineering experience (4+ years considered for some roles, and up to 15 years for others)Australian structural design experience, ideally in NSW or QLD, with full Australian working rightsStrong experience in structural design, documentation and project deliveryExperience across residential, multi-residential, mixed-use and/or commercial building projectsThe ability to lead structural projects from concept through to detailed design and constructionStrong design capability across concrete, steel and timber structuresProficiency in software such as ETABS, SpaceGass, RAM Concept, RAPT and Structural ToolkitSound knowledge of relevant Australian StandardsStrong technical problem-solving skills, initiative and independent thinkingThe ability to conduct or support site inspections and construction-stage activitiesStrong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients, architects, builders and other stakeholdersA collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projectsA genuine interest in mentoring and developing less experienced engineers Highly Regarded NSW Design Practitioner (Structural) and Professional Engineer registration under the DBPA legislation.
