Role Description: Excellent opportunity for a Team Lead to join the team and drive the delivery of complex engineering outcomes, bringing together people, resources and technical expertise to achieve project success. You will lead planning and execution, guide engineering teams, ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements and play a key role in delivery of safe, secure and high-quality solutions on time and within budget. Core Duties: Lead critical fire detection systems integration for Australia's largest naval shipbuilding programPlan estimate and resource engineering work to meet delivery requirementsNavigate complex stakeholder environments to resolve issues and maintain project momentumUse SCADA controls and instrumentation knowledge to solve complex system challenges.Lead design changes, technical risks and supplier performance across multiple stakeholdersDeliver advanced electrical control solutions within a multidisciplinary engineering teamDevelop team capability through coaching, mentoring, training and succession planningOwn electrical fire detection design, integration and certification across a global engineering network Essential Skills: Degree qualified in Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering – Instrumentation highly consideredExperience leading engineering design, integration or systems engineering activitiesStrong knowledge of control systems, SCADA, instrumentation or industrial automationProven ability to deliver against cost, schedule and quality objectivesExperience planning, estimating and resourcing multidisciplinary teamsOutstanding stakeholder management and communication skills across multidisciplinary, production and international engineering teamsStrong problem-solving skills with experience managing technical risk and design change Hunter Class - Maritime Australia BAE Systems Australia is leading the largest ever surface ship project in Australia's defence history - the design and build of Hunter class frigates.
