Job Description We are seeking a talented Senior Civil Designer to join our dynamic and growing team in Melbourne. Reporting directly to the Associate Director, Civil, you will play a key role in leading the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, mentoring junior team members, and driving high-quality design outcomes that exceed client expectations. Specifically Lead the design and documentation of civil engineering projects from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction support.Coordinate multidisciplinary project inputs to deliver integrated and innovative design solutions.Prepare and review civil design models, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.Collaborate closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and achieve desired outcomes.Develop and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business growth opportunities.Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to designers and engineers within the team.Assist with resource planning and workload forecasting to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.Contribute to sustainable business growth through the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and commercially successful design solutions.Manage project risks and apply sound technical and professional judgement throughout the design process. Qualifications Extensive experience in civil design and documentation, ideally within land development, infrastructure, urban development, or subdivision projects.Advanced proficiency in civil design software such as 12d Model, AutoCAD, and associated design tools.Demonstrated ability to lead the design delivery of complex projects from concept through to detailed design.Strong understanding of relevant Australian standards, local authority requirements, and engineering design principles.Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and collaborating with engineers, planners, surveyors, and other project stakeholders.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.Proven ability to mentor and support junior designers and contribute to a positive team culture.Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage competing priorities while delivering quality outcomes.A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a passion for innovation and technical excellence.
