🚀 Senior Integration Software Developer | Federal Government | Canberra / Sydney 82 Degrees North is seeking an experienced Senior Integration Software Developer to support a major Federal Government business application transformation program. This is a senior, hands-on engineering role helping establish enterprise microservices and event-driven architecture, while building secure, scalable and reusable integrations across applications, platforms and external services. 📍 Location: Canberra or Sydney preferred 📅 Initial term: 12 months + 2 x 12-month extensions ⏱ Up to 40 hours per week 🔐 Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain Baseline 🏢 Working arrangements: Primarily onsite/flexible arrangements subject to operational requirements Company Description 82 Degrees North is a specialist recruitment agency focused on building meaningful, long-term relationships with customers, clients, and partners. What we're looking for We're particularly interested in developers with strong experience across: • Microservices and event-driven architecture • REST APIs, JSON/XML and OpenAPI/Swagger • API gateways and API-first development • Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid or similar messaging technologies • Docker and Kubernetes • .NET/C#, Java, Node.js or Python • OAuth2, OpenID Connect and JWT authentication • CI/CD, DevSecOps and automated testing • Observability and platform automation • Cloud-native integration and secure service-to-service communication You'll work closely with architects, developers and business stakeholders to design and deliver modern integration solutions, while helping establish reusable engineering patterns and uplift capability across the team. Experience within Federal Government or other regulated enterprise environments will be highly regarded. A relevant tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, IT, Computer Science or a related discipline is required, along with 5+ years of relevant integration development experience.
