What You’ll deliver Technical Oversight & Assessment: Review and assess engineering documentation including plans for traffic, drainage, lighting, and environmental management, ensuring compliance with planning and development standards.Referral & Proposal Evaluation: Conduct engineering assessments of town planning, subdivision, and building proposals, and respond to referrals with expert advice on development engineering matters.Team & Stakeholder Collaboration: Manage daily work priorities within the team, support senior leaders, and engage with internal and external stakeholders to resolve development issues collaboratively.Delegated Authority & Advisory Support: Approve development engineering matters under Council’s Deed of Delegation and provide timely advice and support to managers and staff on technical issues. What You’ll Bring Registration as an Engineer in accordance with the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019 by 1 October 2022 or willing to undertake any qualifications / training required to be registered as a Professional Engineer.Degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent Engineering Degree with relevant experience assessing development engineering proposals and providing written technical advice.Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check.
